The event aims to explore the following themes
- Provide new insights into political economy, policy risk, and land reform in the MENA region through focused sessions led by distinguished scholars.
- Catalyze collaborative research initiatives and partnerships among scholars, researchers, and academics from Germany, Europe, and the MENA region.
- Foster lasting connections and networking opportunities, especially between Freie Universität Berlin and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA) in Beirut.
- Contribute valuable knowledge to inform policy decisions and practices in the MENA region.
- Inspire participants to delve deeper into the discussed topics, thereby sparking further research endeavors.
Target Group
All promising academics, scholars, and researchers from Germany, Europe, and the MENA region, with a specific emphasis on those with an interest in political economy, conflict studies, and land reform and the public.
